Private lessons are offered each week for 45 or 60 minutes. Forty-five minute lessons are recommended for elementary and early intermediate students and one hour for late intermediate and advanced level students.
Please call for rates.
Tuition is due on the first lesson of each month for the number of lessons in that month.
Students will not receive a make up lesson if they miss any regularly scheduled lesson. Please give at least 72 hours notice if you expect to be absent.
A make up will be arranged if I have to cancel.
Minimum daily requirement is 1 hour.
Parents are expected to schedule the daily practice requirement into their child’s daily routine and assist them with their assignment at home by following through on my written instructions. Parents are encouraged to attend lessons any time. Students who do not practice consistently will be dropped.
Very young students (5 – 7) may divide the practice into 2 sessions.
Late intermediate and advanced students requirement is 2 hours.
Music for study can be purchased at most music stores. It is the responsibility of the student to bring all of their books to every lesson.
All students must own or rent a piano. Electronic keyboards are not acceptable. Keep your instrument properly maintained by a competent technician once a year.
I am an active member of Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) and California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT).   These organizations sponsor many functions on the local, state and national levels, including recitals, competitions and evaluation programs such as Certificate of Merit (CM).   I can provide more detailed information if you are interested in any of these activities.
